When attempting a project like this it is very helpful to have friends who have a great deal of extra dsm parts laying around. So when something isn't working you can swap parts to narrow down the scope of the problem. It will greatly reduce the amount of parts you actually buy b/c you won't be replacing good parts with new ones when trying to solve your problem.
