Welcome to the Project Raider TSI homepage
This page is dedicated the building, testing and our enjoying of the Raider TSI. For now I will go into a little background information on this project..
This whole thing came around a few years back when we'd all sit around drinking n' smoking and talking about things we'd like to create. 4G63 powered Starions/Conquest and some crazy D50 ideas were always talked about. A turbocharged Raider/Montero was one of the first topics we came to talk about. The idea is simple, a light 4x4 with plently of muscle to get through whatever we wanted. Our general idea was to put a high power 4G63 out of a Talon/Eclipse/Laser into the engine bay and rip through mud. This idea was pretty vague but it laid some good starting ground. After some thinking it would probably be alot more fun to have the G54B out of a Conquest/Starion in the Raider because of the amount of torque that motor can produce and the fact that it doesn't need to be revved to 7k to reach our goals.
After a few years a 1987 Black Dodge Raider kinda stumbled upon us. It had a blown motor and a few other minor things, but overall it was in good shape, and for a price of 250$ you can't really go wrong. And then it began... the planning, the research and the buying. What follows on these pages is the project 4x4 vehicle that me and my mechanically inclined friend created. Our own personal Frankenstein monster...
